  • A update of the need to upgrade greens and fairways mowers and other ancillary equipment has been presented to the Finance Committee for approval to the board
    • It is to be noted that the current fleet of equipment has extended past it’s use by date due financial constraints associated by the Covid epidemic
  • Course staff are now working on presentation of the course in readiness for the Jack Newton State Age Championships in July
  • African Tulip Trees are starting to present a problem on the course.
    • These trees are considered a serious environmental weed across NSW, Qld & NT.
    • It is classed as a restricted invasive plant under the Qld Biosecurity Act 2014
    • It is included in the ‘Global Invasive Species Database Top 100 Worlds Worst Invaders’
    • The nectar is fatal to native bees and even worse can poison bee larvae and hives
    • A program is being developed to remove these trees from the course
